The 5 most important questions to ask in People Management – Part 4

Proper People Management is one of the most crucial skills any founder or manager of some kind should have. Being successful here, is the precondition to being successful as a business. But of course, that is easier said than done. To reduce the complexity of proper People Management, I defined 5 questions you should ask yourself. If your answer to any of these 5 questions is any less than 100%, then you have got some serious work to do.

The fourth question is: What % of your team members today would choose your company again as their new employer?

This question is predominantly about the working climate in your company. Research shows that most employees quit their jobs because of the working climate and culture within the company. Not their jobs. An important factor to mention is the relationship with the management. Or the lack of it.

Companies that create a great working climate have the following in common: trust, pride & fun. Trust between management and employees is essential to a great workplace experience, and is built through credibility, mutual respect and honesty. Secondly, both employees and management should be proud of their workspace and company. The feeling of making impact results in more motivation. Lastly, a great workspace is a space where colleagues feel connected with each other. And good relation between team members also results in a better sense of connection with the company.
