A theme running through the work of Martin van den Oetelaar is the implementation and (re-) structuring of various forms of innovative services. Initially, he worked mainly abroad where he was employed up to board level in large organizations operating on an international scale, such as ICL, Orange and Scoot. Since 1998 he has had his own business implementing specific projects mainly in small and medium-sized organizations, both in the for-profit and the not-for-profit sectors. Between 2000 and 2004 Martin, together with Aldebert Wiersinga, was involved as managing partner and founder in (IC)trust, an 'intellectual capitalist' which built up innovative companies. Since 2004 the core of Martin's activities has been in the education market. In addition, he applies his experience to innovative and promising projects and organizations, either independently or in VC&C.
